The freshest and brightest of these, even if it’s a little closed at first. Lovely striking cedar freshness. Bay leaf, a hint of cedar. Damson, blueberry, mulberry, this is very dark berry fruited. A fascinating salted peanut and sesame note too. Glossy and rich in texture. Limpid and impressively crystalline in the midpalate for such a substantial and classical wine. I love the hints of cedar that are already starting to come through. A brilliant wine and the star of the tasting at this stage, Sapid and juicy. 96.
