Many restaurants and wine bars have benefited from the outstanding network of his father, Alois Kracher Jr., to access rarities. To make these exceptional and rare wines available to as wide an audience as possible, Kracher Fine Wine was established in 2001. Gerhard Kracher took over the company in 2007 and has since continued his father's work consistently.

Yvonne Kracher was born in Hamburg and has lived in Austria since 2003. After holding positions at DO & CO and Vivatis as head of purchasing and authorized signatory, she assumed her role at the Kracher Winery in 2013. Today, she oversees marketing, purchasing, and accounting, and plays a key role in shaping the future development of Kracher Fine Wine and Kracher Hotels, which together offer a total of 92 beds. Together with Gerhard Kracher she has three children: Luis, Franziska, and Matthias.

Sascha Ludwig has been one of the prominent figures in the wine industry for many years, impressing with his in-depth expertise, international experience and great passion for fine wine. Thanks to his long-standing experience in the premium wine sector, he is the perfect successor to Hans Martin Gesellmann. Going forward, Sascha Ludwig will be responsible for the private client segment and the Greater Vienna area.

Valentin Grieger, a dedicated young professional, is set to join Kracher Fine Wine in the role of Portfolio Manager. Having completed a Bachelor’s degree in International Wine Business at IMC Krems and with practical experience in the hospitality industry, specialist wine retail and wine import, he is ideally suited for this role. With his great passion for fine wine and his international understanding of the wine market, he will play an active part in shaping the future development of our range.

Following his degree specialising in hotel management, Hannes furthered his knowledge of wine and also worked in marketing. He obtained two sommelier qualifications and expanded his expertise in the fields of fine dining, wine consultancy and sales. He has been part of the Fine Wine team since 2024.
