Promontory
In the early 1980s, H. William Harlan discovered an isolated area while hiking along the southwestern ridge of Oakville. The hidden expanse—ancient and untamed—moved him deeply, but remained elusive until the Harlan family finally conquered it in 2008. As the second generation explored and worked the land, they began to make discoveries of their own. At the heart of this wild terrain, they found a powerful geological convergence that had shaped the steep, rugged topography and created the conditions for a wholly exotic winegrowing environment. Over time, they realised that the dramatic landscape—just beyond the frontier of the known—would slowly transform them and ultimately inspire a new venture: Promontory.
