Chateau Labegorce
This property, neighbouring the châteaux of Margaux and Lascombes, is mentioned in the 1868 edition of Édouard Féret, which mentions the existence of "the lands of the Noble House of La Bégorce" since 1332. The château is presented as "... one of the most beautiful and best situated in the commune of Margaux". Since its purchase in 1989, the Perrodo family has restored this estate to its architectural splendour and a viticultural dynamism that produces a charming wine with a very beautiful structure, radiant fruit and great finesse in Labégorce. In 2006, the Perrodo family also acquired Château Marquis d'Alesme, the third Grand Cru Classé of Margaux, in order to elevate this wine to the status of one of the flagships of the appellation.
