Wine from Bordeaux
Bordeaux, or Bordelais as it is known in France, is probably the most famous wine-growing region in the world. The Fine Wine Shop's portfolio has a clear focus on this region. Portfolio manager Hans Martin Gesellmann travels to Bordeaux several times a year, has a good personal relationship with many producers and is a real expert in this area.
Bordeaux is divided into left and right banks. The left bank is known for Cabernet Sauvignon, the right bank for Merlot. Bordeaux is further divided into five appellations, as the growing regions are called in French: Médoc, Graves, Entre-Deux-Mers, Libournais and Blayais et Bourgeais.
One of the highlights every year is definitely the Bordeaux subscription, where we offer the published wines for sale in the Fine Wine Shop on a daily basis.
