Favia
Favia is the joint project of two superstars in the Californian wine industry, namely vineyard manager Annie Favia and oenologist Andy Erickson. Both work and have worked for some of the best producers in Napa Valley. Annie at (David) Abreu Vineyard Management for Harlan Estate, Araujo and Colgin Cellars, among others, and Andy at Dalle Valle and Screaming Eagle, among others.
The first wines produced together were from the 2001 vintage, which began to be sold commercially with the 2003 vintage. In 2014, they acquired an old estate in Coombsville to build a winery for their own wines.
The Coombsville Cabernet Sauvignon is characterized by the volcanic soils and the proximity to San Pablo Bay. Cabernet Franc plays the dominant role in the Cerro Sur Napa Valley Red Wine. The vineyards for the wine are located at an altitude of 300 meters facing north and are characterized by volcanic and sandstone.
