Wine from the Moselle
The Moselle wine-growing region is located in Rhineland-Palatinate, a small part of which is also in Saarland. The Moselle is the second largest Riesling growing area in the world. The Moselle is also the largest steep-slope wine-growing region in the world. This means that the vines are grown on extreme slopes. The soils in the Moselle consist of slate and shell limestone.
