Brilliant. Youthful. Fresh, Lifted. Nutty. Frangipane and toasted white almonds. A little candyfloss. Rose petals and candied rose petals. A little burnt caramel. Even a hint of coffee bean! Fresh, too – vividly so – and youthful on the palate, this is very linear with the fruit strapped close to the spine unlike many vintages of Clos des Goisses (even the 201, tasted just before). Increasingly fresh, with a lovely vivid zestiness that gathers on the long and tapering path to a distant horizon. Special even for a Clos des Goisses LV! 98.
