(Pomerol; 97% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc; tasted at Bélair Monange). Just as divine, refined and elegant as you expect it to be, with its customary fruit diversity – red berries just as much as the more purple and blue hues of Hosanna, a little less black cherry, but more red cherry and the additional freshness that suggests. The florality is sublime, with radiant violet as well as more subtle rose petal and iris notes. Lush. Plush. Almost sinuous in form and utterly ethereal as it dances and glides over the palate. Very beautiful. A coup de coeur.

Concentrated and impressive, with mid palate expansion, and tannins that show muscle, sinew and juice. This opens in the glass, blossoming to show wonderful fragrant peony and iris flower, toasted spice, olive pit, oyster shell, wet stones, pumice, liquorice root, so much possibility and breadth here. Harvest September 1 to 19. 50% new oak for ageing.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2025 La Fleur-Pétrus needs a little coaxing before it slowly unfurls with notes of baked plums and black cherry compote, leading to nuances of menthol, lavender oil, and mossy tree bark. The full-bodied palate is rich and dense with baked black fruit and exotic spice layers, supported by firm, lightly chewy tannins and great tension, finishing on a lingering cool mint note. The blend is 97% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot. This is aging in French oak barrels for 16–18 months, 50% new

Fruity and crunchy nose, very well structured with notes of marzipan and dark cherries this is a charming and juicy vintage of La Fleur Petrus. Very fruit driven with fresh layers of pure, fresh cassis and a finely structured and well integrated, crunchy, tannic backbone this charming, fresh wine should offer great drinking after a few years in bottle.
