Dr. Loosen
Owned by the family for over 200 years, the winery has been run by Ernst F. Loosen since 1988. In his view, great wines are the perfect expression of the soil, climate and grape variety. With the legacy of his ancestors – ungrafted, old vines in historic Grand Cru sites in the Middle Mosel – he has found exactly the material he needs to produce distinctive, complex wines of world class. Today, Dr Loosen is internationally regarded as the figurehead of a rediscovered German Riesling culture. The winery has been a member of the VDP (Association of German Prädikat Wine Estates) since 1993.
