Chateau Lafaurie Peyraguey
A very old wine-producing property, with 18,5 hectares of vines, Château LAFAURIE-PEYRAGUEY is located in the heart of the Sauternes region, on high ground just outside the village of Bommes.
The vineyard includes the “Maisons Rouges” plot, which was a stopping place in Roman times. The oldest stones in the surrounding wall and the entrance, thought to be the oldest structure in the commune of Bommes, date from the 13th century. These stones and the château’s archives (going back to 1742) are evidence of Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey’s rich past, representing eight centuries of history!
