Chateau La Violette
Located on the heights of the famous Pomerol plateau, Château LA VIOLETTE owes its name to an original and exquisite scent of violets that has always seduced the most refined palates... This estate, the flower of Pomerol with 1.68 hectares of vineyards, was acquired in 2006 by VIGNOBLES PARENT, who already own the prestigious Château LE GAY and Château MONTVIEL in the same appellation. "The wine is generous, full-bodied, with a delicate bouquet, of great finesse ... and, to the delight of the palate, a subtle fragrance reminiscent of violets". These were the words used by a famous wine taster from Bordeaux at the end of the 19th century to describe the wine he discovered at the château. This praise inspired the owner to name his cuvée, which has enjoyed a long reputation.
