Chateau La Mondotte
The 4.5-hectare vineyard of La Mondotte is located on the clay-limestone plateau to the east of Saint-Émilion and has all the natural conditions necessary for the production of a Premier Grand Cru Classé. The soils are made up of clay with a high clay content and rest on a rocky subsoil. The shallow and barren terroir structure ensures excellent regulation of the water balance and promotes deep rooting of the vines. In addition, this very early-ripening terroir is characterised by natural drainage of the soil and exceptional sun exposure. The grapes, especially the Merlots, ripen year after year under optimal conditions.
