Spottswoode
The Spottswoode vineyard is located on the western edge of St. Helena at the foot of the Mayacama Mountains. It was acquired by Mary and Jack Novak in 1972.
Three wines are produced.
The Sauvignon Blanc is complemented by some Semillon and comes from their own grapes as well as purchased grapes from Napa and Sonoma County.
The red wine is based on the Bordeaux principle with the Estate Cabernet, a Grand Vin made exclusively from the estate's own grapes.
With the Cabernet Sauvignon Lyndenhurst, there is a second wine named after the family name of one of the previous owners.
