Quinta do Vesuvio
Quinta do Vesuvio is a beautiful Portuguese winery high in the rugged, dry upper Douro region, producing a range of quality wines and port wines. It belongs to the Symington Group of wineries, alongside Graham's, Warre's and Dow's.
The Quinta has 133 hectares of vines, ranging from 130 metres above sea level on the riverbank to 530 metres above sea level on the crest of the steep bank. As the estate is located so far inland, temperature fluctuations throughout the day and year are extreme, which means that the grapes retain a beautiful acidity and freshness during ripening.
