Château Mont-Redon

Henri Plantin acquired the land from which Château Mont-Redon was created in 1923. He decided to clear the overgrown land and plant vines on the pebble-dominated soils. With over 100 hectares of vineyards spread across the various terroirs in the Châteauneuf du Pape appellation, the château is one of the largest.
The special cuvée Le Plateau was launched for the first time with the 2016 vintage. The grapes come exclusively from the vineyards on the plateau, which are dominated by the classic large pebbles known as galets roulés. The wine is only produced in exceptional years. The wine is aged 60% in Burgundy barrels and 40% in steel tanks.
A white version of Le Plateau was also produced for the first time from the 2020 vintage. Just over 300 bottles were bottled. We were able to secure a small allocation of the 2023 vintage.
