Angelo Gaja
The Gaja winery is located in Piedmont, in the Langhe wine-growing region, and was founded in 1859, but it was the visionary Angelo Gaja who helped the winery achieve world fame. He is the father of modern Barbaresco and Barolo, he brought numerous innovations in cellar technology, vinification and viticulture to the region and was always a pioneer who was convinced that Nebbiolo was one of the greatest grape varieties in the world and he was right.
