Gerhard Kracher explains:
“We started Kracher Fine Wine in ’96. It was basically an idea by Manfred Krankl from Sine Qua Non, who was a very close friend of my father and nowadays we’re close family friends, and he wanted to have his Sine Qua Non wines in Austria in the best restaurants and asked my father if we can do something. And so we started to import his wines and shortly after we started to import Gantenbein from Switzerland, then some Bordeaux wines, some Italian wines, then German wines: Egon Müller, Dr. Loosen, Dönnhoff, and then a real company was formed. Nowadays, we import more than 2,000 wines. About ten years ago we started our web shop finewineshop.com and we are always very happy presenting new, fantastic wines to our customers.”
