The 2023 Chardonnay Hyde Vineyard comes from a block planted in 1986 to LivermoreWente selection clone. It pops from the glass with vivacious notes of lemon tart, crunchyBosc pears, and orange blossoms, followed by hints of struck flints and wet pebbles. Themedium-bodied palate is a doppelganger for a great Meursault with layers of orchard andcitrus fruit flavors with a minerally undercurrent, backed up by refreshing acidity and asatiny texture, finishing with epic length and depth.
