2022 St. Henri Shiraz
Auslieferung bis zum Frühjahr 2026!
Delivery until Spring 2026!
(South Australia; 100% Shiraz; sourced from Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale; aged for 12 months in large already used foudres; pH 3.72; 14.5% alcohol). Meaty. A little animal. Plump. Gracious tannins on the attack, more and more present over the palate’s evolution. A lovely limpid core. So accomplished technically and so fresh and bright and lively. A little graphite on the finish.
96/100 Colin Hay; The Drinks Business
Slate, crayon, rose bud, raspberry puree, cumin, tapenade, enveloping peony notes as it opens. Intense right now, with a ton of pleasure, but this is a wine that deserves long cellaring, and I suggest giving it several more years in bottle to allow the floral, finessed side to come out, as this is truly a wine that can age. Peter Gago chief winemaker. No new oak for ageing.
