“Confit rose petals and some fresh petals too. A certain dusty minerality. A hint of lavender. Red berries, a little red cherry and a touch of exquisite tomato consommé. A hint of cordite. Crystalline, pure, radiant and ample in the frame – but with impressive heft and depth. Refined yet broad and imposing, with lovely almost flaky, grippy, Nebbiolo tannins. Sapid and very long with a lovely finish on lavender. Shapely and beautifully structured.“

“One of the great terroirs of Barolo, give it time in the glass or another few years in bottle because this is just stunning, so much concentration, grips and clings on through the palate, not huge aromatics at this stage more about texture and tingling minerality, then crushed roses, edges of smoked caramel and woodsmoke. 0.9ha, Andrea Farinetti owner, Simone Bosari winemaker, Certified organic since 2019 vintage.”
