2019 Barbaresco Bordini DOCG
This 2019 Barbaresco Bordini from Elvio Cogno has a very pretty nose which starts off with rich, ripe, wild strawberry aromas with black pepper and spice notes and then becomes delightfully floral with an orange blossom note. It is medium-full bodied on the palate with a good concentration of wild strawberry and tart red cherry flavors and a slight green herb note too. The acidity is lively and fresh and the tannins are fine-textured with a little dry twist on the finish. This wine shows the classically elegant and firmly structured style of the 2019s. The grapes for this wine come from their 1 hectare vineyard in Nieve.
