2024 Blancaneaux
Auslieferung im Frühjahr 2027!
Delivery in spring 2027!
Glassy and quite glossy in texture, with more Viognier as I recall than usual. At this stage the oak is a little evident aromatically. But that will be resolved with a little patience. Ample in frame and beautifully crystalline, clear and luminous, this is a little like the Inglenook reds in its sense of layering. Subtle, supple, tense and dynamic, Blancaneaux is one of the freshest Californians of the vintage. Very clean and poised. 94.
- 94/100 Colin Hay
Spice, poached pear, citrus and white flowers, great lift and grip, good stuff. Rhone whites thriving in this Californian icon, winemaking and ageing in 60% stainless steel, 40% French oak, 20% new. Philippe Bascaules winemaking director.
- 96/100 Jane Anson
The 2024 Blancaneaux is a blend of 48% Viognier, 26% Marsanne, and 26% Roussanne. It sings of juicy pears, ripe peaches, and honeydew melon, giving way to hints of beeswax, allspice, and orange blossoms. The medium-bodied palate reveals a crisp backbone and silky texture with intense orchard fruit flavors and a long, fragrant finish.
