2019 Finca Canal Uco

A great vintage and a very complete and composed wine. This is tight and compact, with a less ample frame but massive intensity and mid-palate density and concentration. The Zuccardi style that I recognise and love from the 2021, 2022 and 2023 is already present here, albeit now with a little more bottle maturation. The earlier vintages do not have quite the same finesse. Indeed, there’s a very rare, radiant purity to this. Loganberry, a little red cherry, with perfectly bright and crunchy berry fruits. Floral and herbal in equal measure and with those lovely beady limestone tannins. Ethereal, juicy and succulent with great finesse despite the density. Lifted and aerial, this finishes very much at the top of the palate. Supremely harmonious and fresh on the silken finish. Truly wonderful.

2021 Canon

A blend of 71% Merlot and 29% Cabernet Franc, the 2021 Canon is deep garnet-purple in color. It is a little closed and broody to start, offering glimpses at black plums, black raspberries, and boysenberries, before opening out to reveal notes of aniseed, charcoal, and wild sage, with a touch of Sichuan pepper. The medium-bodied palate is wonderfully elegant, with energetic red and black fruit layers and evocative mineral accents, supported by impressive tension and finely grained tannins, finishing long and perfumed.

Crémant de Bourgogne

Aus Chardonnay , Pinot Noir, Gamay und Aligote. Ein feiner Einstieg, sehr guter Trinkfluß, cremige Süße, nette Frucht. Gut.

2022 Prélude

Expressive nose with deep black fruit, including blackberry, black cherry, plum and blackcurrant, outlined by sweet spice and toast. The four varieties in the blend (53% Carmenère, 36% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot) are well leveraged, weaving fruit, herbaceous and savoury notes with seamless ease. The acidity is refreshing, almost zesty, adding energy to the smoky tannic pull. Elegant and so approachable, with a fluid approachability that makes it hard to put down.

- 94/100 Ines Salpico; Decanter

2019 Quintessa Red

Checking in as 91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Cabernet Franc, 2% Carménère, 2% Merlot, and 1% Petit Verdot aged 22 months in 60% new French oak, the 2019 Quintessa is a stunning Cabernet with currants, graphite, smoky tobacco, and classic Rutherford chocolaty richness all defining the aromatics. On the palate, it's ripe, powerful, yet elegant and full-bodied. This is a brilliant, world-class effort that deserves significant cellar time. Drink 2026-2049.

2020 Clos Fourtet

Georgie Hindle: Milk chocolate, red cherry. Succulent from the off, this says, ‘Hello, drink me.’ Body, bounce, muscle and drive. What a wine!

Arthur Coggill: Inviting nose of orange blossom, damson, plum and quince, spiced oak touches. Supple, no hard edges. Fresh and zippy with supporting tannins and great concentration.

Tom King: Juicy loganberry, black cherry and caramelised oak. Mouthfilling but elegant, with a supple fluidity to the tannins. Rich, yet fun and generous.
