2023 Cheval des Andes
Auslieferung im Frühjahr 2027!
Delivery in spring 2027!
Grace, charm and refinement. Less intensely floral than it sometimes is, and perhaps a little more bulbal in its florality. Peony and iris, maybe a little lilac too. Black cherry, blueberry and crushed raspberry. All very pure and bright and lifted. Succulent, svelte and with a beautiful presence and form in the mouth. Saline and mineral on the finish with a hint of liquorice, this becomes more and more savoury. Substantial and with considerable tannic density, but so finely grained! 97.
97/100 Colin Hay
Deliciously dark fruit, concentrated and powerful but with the lightest of touches through the palate. There is creamy blackberry and cassis, leafy, red roses, pulses of air and lift. Pierre Polbos winemaker.
98/100 Jane Anson
Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2023 Cheval des Andes charges out with powerful notes of wild blueberries, raspberries, and kirsch, leading to an undercurrent of dried Provence herbs, wet slate, and chargrill. The full-bodied palate delivers plush tannins and juicy red and blue fruit with seamless freshness, finishing with an herbal lift. The blend is 40% Malbec, 3% Petit Verdot, and 53% Cabernet Sauvignon. The alcohol is 14.3% and the pH is 3.8.
