A big step up here in quality from Bin 311 when tasted in Paris, as ever, and an exceptional vintage of this exceptional and often underappreciated wine. Tasted after Bin 311, this is of course fuller and richer, but don’t be mistaken, this is a wine – above all in 2024 – that is all about scrunchy freshness and fruit purity. It also has a delightful white florality and a lovely hint of lanolin. Floral field honey, lime juice and lime zest, blood orange, white melon, a little hint of jasmine and that redolent Yattarna candlewax. Gooseberry and white grapefruit. Grace and charm, solar but strikingly fresh with it. Very zesty and, at the same time, chalky on the finish. Refined and gently pulsating too as the acidity ripples all the way to a long distant horizon. 98.
