Wein aus Kalifornien

Der Großteil aller amerikanischen Weine wird in Kalifornien hergestellt. Klassische Sorten sind Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon und Chardonnay. Die berühmtesten Weinbaugebiete sind Napa Valley, Sonoma Valley, Central Valley und Central Coast. Obwohl in Kalifornien seit über 200 Jahren Weinbau betrieben wird, ist die internationale Erfolgsgeschichte erst um die 50 Jahre alt.
