2021 Riesling Weilberg GG Große Lage
The 2021 Ungsteiner Weilberg Riesling GG opens with a clear and reductive nose with vegetal aromas on the deep bouquet that shows notes of bouquet garni, lots of lime and flint. Juicy, fresh and elegant in the mouth, with contracting phenolics held reductively in the now almost drying finish, this Riesling is a bit too wild and too deliberate, but it possibly has potential and at least is of good quality. This reminds me of the Wachau Rieslings of Rudi Pichler. Tasted in Wiesbaden, August 2022. (wineAdvocate)
