2016 Barolo Villero
The Boroli 2016 Barolo Villero draws its fruit from Castiglione Falletto. The wine shows the precision and sharpness that I associate with this celebrated Barolo subzone, but it also delivers ample spice and softness obtained with barrel aging. That oak signature is strong. The Villero shows plush, round oak tannins with succulent fruit flavors that add weight and volume to the finish. Blackberry, summer cherry and prune cede to cinnamon, campfire ash and black licorice. (Wine Advocate)
