Bottled in October 2016 after three years on the full lees in a traditional oak Fuder, the 2013 Mosel Riesling Fio opens with deep, pure, intense, ripe and concentrated fruit intertwined with flinty-mineral, spicy sur lie and citrus fruit aromas. Remarkably pure, cool and fresh on the palate, this is a very vital, finessed and salty Riesling in the old Mosel style: light and filigreed but tight, enormously fresh and with lots of citrus flavors. It is just 10.5% alcohol but very complex and with a stunning aging potential. A great dry Mosel Riesling! (Wine Advocate)
