2025 Mangot
Auslieferung bis zum Herbst 2028!
Delivery until Fall 2028!
Medium intensity, limestone fingerprint that shows pumice stone and chalk but stays on the right side of juicy, bright, measured acidities. Plenty of textural components here, supporting autumnal berry fruits, with pulses of orange peel. A little subdued right now, will blossom over the next few years.
92/100 Jane Anson
(Saint-Émilion; a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc; 13.5% ABV; tasted, I think, at the Association des Grands Crus Classés de Saint-Émilion tasting at de Pressac). Seriously focussed and very precise, even for Mangot, with a delicious florality and very intense berry fruit. There's lots of lift and a lovely natural sweetness to the fruit that is a little more stone-oriented on the palate and berry-oriented aromatically. Juicy, lithe and very fine-grained in its tannic profile, rendering this luminous and bright, crunchy and very impressive in the context of the vintage once again.
