2025 La Gaffeliere
Auslieferung bis zum Herbst 2028!
Delivery until Fall 2028!
Thoroughly enjoyable, iris, juicy bilberry, loganberry, blackcurrant, rich, juicy and measured, has the fingerprint of limestone without being sharp. Clearly will age well, already totally delicious. 3.42 pH. Harvest September 12 to 22. 50% new oak.
96/100 Jane Anson
In the 2025 vintage, Château La Gaffelière shows a level of concentration that clearly exceeds expectations. Although the wine is deep and inky, one can still discern the freshness of orange peel and blood grapefruit, the delicate elegance of rose tea, and a note of pine cone. The 45% Cabernet Franc plays a crucial role in this vintage. The tannins are firm, while the density brought by small berries gives the structure remarkable solidity. Compared with previous vintages, the expression of the limestone soil is also more pronounced. As the tasting progresses, the power gradually tightens, and by the finish, a certain dryness begins to appear. Of course, the wine has not yet fully opened. It will need time and patience for this strength to be gradually polished into shape.
94-96/100 Alexandre Ma
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2025 La Gaffelière is a touch closed to start off, revealing subtle notes of cedar chest, charcoal, and bay leaves before opening out to a core of fresh black plums and blackberry preserves, plus a waft of red roses. The medium-bodied palate has a firm structure of grainy tannins and refreshing acidity to match the bold black fruit and savory layers, finishing minerally.
