This opens in the glass, blossoming to show wonderful fragrant peony and iris flower, toasted spice, olive pit, oyster shell, wet stones, pumice, liquorice root, so much possibility and breadth here. Harvest September 1 to 19. 50% new oak for ageing.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2025 La Fleur-Pétrus needs a little coaxing before it slowly unfurls with notes of baked plums and black cherry compote, leading to nuances of menthol, lavender oil, and mossy tree bark. The full-bodied palate is rich and dense with baked black fruit and exotic spice layers, supported by firm, lightly chewy tannins and great tension, finishing on a lingering cool mint note. The blend is 97% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot. This is aging in French oak barrels for 16–18 months, 50% new
