The 2020 Clos du Milieu is 100% Merlot, aged in 100% new oak, and it has a deep garnet-purple color. It rolls out of the glass with gregarious notions of black raspberries, wild blueberries, and kirsch, leading to suggestions of cinnamon stick, red roses, and jasmine tea, plus a touch of fragrant earth. Medium to full-bodied, the palate bursts with vivacious red and black berry flavors, supported by velvety tannins and great tension, finishing long and perfumed.
