The single-varietal 2019 V Madrone Cabernet Sauvignon is deep garnet-purple in color. Notes of black cherry cordial, plum preserves, and blueberry pie jump from the glass, opening out to an undercurrent of crushed rocks, licorice, and black olives. Full, taut, and muscular, the palate has a sturdy structure of firm tannins and just enough freshness, finishing long and savory.
