2019 Almaviva

The aromas of iodine and blackcurrants with roses and lavender make the wine extremely perfumed. It’s full-bodied with a tight, fine-tannined palate that shows linear flow through the center palate. It’s vertical and integrated, adding depth and serious quality to the wine. (James Suckling)

The Property
Almaviva is a joint venture between Baron Philippe de Rothschild and Concha y
Toro based in Chile Maipo Valley. A Bordeaux-style blend, made of Cabernet
Sauvignon, Carmenere and Cabernet Franc. An exceptional wine combining
freshness and ripeness thanks to its unique terroir.
Chile is now seen as one of the best terroirs for Cabernet Sauvignon,
particularly well adapted to Puente Alto area.
For a New World wine producing region, Chile history is relatively long, dating
back to the 16th Century. French Bordeaux varieties were brought to Chile
during the mid-19th Century.

Vintage 2019
Freshness, length and balance.
Brought in under great weather and sanitary conditions, the grapes gave
wines with wonderful acidity, persistence, and precise aromas.
The vintage 2019 is already showing its wonderful balance, intensity and
silkiness, with elegant red berry and blackcurrant aromas.
