2017 Sauvignon Blanc Grassnitzberg Reserve
Coming from a great vintage, the 2017 Ried Grassnitzberg Reserve of Sauvignon Blanc shows clear, cool, elegant, spicy and slightly smoky fruit. Silky, fine and enormously salty in the mouth, this is a dense yet also sparse, yet fierce, elegant, intense and exciting 2017 that is already on its way to maturity. But the wine is still a bit unsettled. It was bottled this May, after 43 months on the lees. This reserve comes from the oldest part of the Grassnitzberg and will surely go its way, even if it is still a bit demanding and meager at the moment. 13% stated alcohol. (Wine Advocate)
