2017 Patrimony Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon
We have achieved a milestone with this special release — possibly the highest phenolics ever encountered in the world of Cabernet Sauvignon. The result is a full-throttled experience that will leave you speechless. Composed entirely of Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine was aged in 100-percent new French oak barrels, coopered from wood that was cured in the elements for five years to attain unparalleled character; as well as from very ancient trees that provide the rarest wood available. It opens with explosive scents of lilac, thyme, cherries and dark chocolate, accompanied by a layer of perfectly ripe black and blue fruits. The tannins are exquisitely integrated and silky, while the freshness of the wine is backed by an endless finish. Powerful throughout but never deviating from its inherent elegance, this wine has both the finesse and backbone to age gracefully for decades to come. (Patrimony Estate)
