Providence Vineyards Ltd.
Nestled in the cleavage of Mount Arthur and Mount Brown, a spectacular backdrop for the north facing slopes of grey and chocolate clay/loan soils of Providence. The vines were first planted here in 1956 and they remain to this day, making it the birthplace of the modern Tasmanian Wine Industry and the oldest vineyard in the state. Providence hosts the oldest Chardonnay vines in Australia and the original Pinot Noir and Riesling Vines, the oldest in Tasmania.
