Chateau La Fleur Petrus, Frankreich
Another example of how this vintage has caught up and perhaps even surpassed 2000. The fruit is ripe, rich and youthful, sporting raspberry and plum sauce flavors that have melded nicely with the grip, which stays well-buried through the finish of bay, rooibos tea and licorice. There is some serious depth here, setting this up nicely for a long run in the cellar.—Non-blind La Fleur-Pétrus vertical (December 2015). Best from 2020 through 2030. 3,500 cases made.
